Welcome to the 2010 BioBeers Official Launch!

We are eager to kick-off an exciting campaign with what is believed to be are some value-add enhancements to our Meetup format.

BioBeers functions as a catalyst, designed to provide an enduring Meetup platform for the Colorado bioscience ecosystem, where like minded bio-preneurs gather to share ideas, cultivate business relationships and build life-long friendships. 1-hour bi-quarterly Meetups now feature presentations and Q&A’s from local therapeutic, medical device and diagnostic companies, as well as presenting academicians, investors and representatives from related life science initiatives. We invite you to join the conversation today!

SCHEDULE:

BioBeers will be held Bi-Quarterly (What? Is that a word?). Meaning each quarter we will hold two meetings, one in Boulder and one in Denver. Boulder will be held the first Tuesday of the final month of the Quarter, and Denver will be held the third Tuesday of the final month of the Quarter.

So mark your calendars, the following eight (8) 2010 BioBeers Meetups are scheduled for:

So guess what…next week is BioBeers-Boulder!

Note that we have tightened up the timing. Our program will begin promptly at 6:30pm and the BioBeers drink specials that are arranged with our partners last until 7:30pm. We encourage you to mix and mingle and continue networking and having fun beyond our 7:30 program end-time however, the formal Meetup will last for only 60 minutes, so be certain to plan to arrive without delay.

FORMAT:

We will start each mtg promptly at 6:30 with one or more host Co-Founders announcing any relevant news and then will provide an opportunity for attendees to share any personal or lab or company news. The announcements will be followed by rapid-fire intros where everyone will have a few seconds to introduce yourself to the group. Next will be a 10min presentation and 5min Q&A for a cool Colorado company, technology, scientific finding, relevant initiative etc., then we can get into the casual, fun and relaxed BioBeers schmoozing session. So expect the following general hour-long schedule:

6:30 – 6:35 Welcome/News
6:35 – 6:40 Speed Intros
6:40 – 7:00 Presentation/Q&A
7:00 – 7:30 Beer…
7:30 – ? BioBeers drink specials end but welcomed to stay and keep the party going…

RSVP:

We will first send out the Boulder invite, please respond to the RSVP request with Yes, No or Maybe. The day after the Boulder BioBeers Meetup we will send out the Denver invite, please respond to the RSVP request with Yes, No, Maybe. This protocol, we hope, will circumvent any confusion about what Meetup event is held where and when. So…Boulder invitation, followed the day after the Boulder event with the Denver invitation. Clean, simple, no confusion (we hope…).
